Mosaic Manager is a private tool for the members and officers of Mosaic Church. It is not a public product. You need an account created by a church administrator to use it at all, and there is no way to sign yourself up.
Who is responsible for your information
Mosaic Church is responsible for the information held in Mosaic Manager. If you have a question about your information, or want it corrected or removed, write to jono591737@gmail.com.
What the app holds
Mosaic Manager keeps the records a church normally keeps, so it can plan worship services and let its elders care for the congregation:
- Your account. Your email address, a securely hashed password, and the role that decides what you are allowed to see.
- Your member record. Your name, contact details (email, phone, address), birthday, family relationships, and your membership standing.
- Church activity. Worship services, hymns, the people involved in each service, and documents uploaded by church officers.
- Pastoral care records. Prayer requests, care notes, elder meeting minutes and related shepherding information.
Who can see what
Access is decided by your role, and it is enforced on the server, not just hidden in the app.
- Ordinary members can see the church directory and service information, and can edit their own contact details and birthday.
- Pastoral care records are restricted to elders and administrators. They are not visible to the congregation at large.
- Nobody outside the church has access.
What the app does not do
We think this list matters as much as the one above.
- It contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking. Nothing you do in the app is reported to an ad network or an analytics company.
- It does not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for commercial purposes. Ever.
- It does not collect your location, read your contacts, or use your camera or microphone.
- It does not build an advertising profile of you or track you across other apps and websites.
Services we rely on
Two outside companies process information on the church's behalf. They act only on our instructions.
- Google Firebase hosts the app and stores its accounts, records and uploaded files.
- Textbelt delivers text messages. When the church sends an SMS — for example, a prayer request notification — the recipient's phone number and the message are passed to Textbelt so it can be sent.
How long information is kept
Church records are kept for as long as you are connected to the church and for as long afterwards as the church needs them for its own record-keeping. You can ask for your record to be removed at the address above, and an administrator can close your account at any time.
Your choices
You can view and correct your own contact details and birthday from your profile inside the app, and you can change your password there.
You can delete your account at any time. Open your profile in the app and use Delete Account. This permanently removes your login — your email address, your password, and your access to the app. It cannot be undone.
Deleting your account does not remove your entry from the church's membership records, which the church keeps for its own record-keeping in the same way it would a paper roll. To have that removed as well, write to jono591737@gmail.com and the church will handle it.
Children
Accounts are created by church administrators and the app is intended for adults. Children may appear in the church's family and membership records, entered by their parents or by church staff; that information is treated with the same restrictions as everything else described here.
